Synopsis

The remote TencentOS Server 4 host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of Tencent Linux installed on the remote TencentOS Server 4 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the TSSA-2024:0915 advisory.

Package updates are available for TencentOS Server 4 that fix the following vulnerabilities:

CVE-2024-34062:
tqdm is an open source progress bar for Python and CLI. Any optional non-boolean CLI arguments (e.g.
`--delim`, `--buf-size`, `--manpath`) are passed through python's `eval`, allowing arbitrary code execution. This issue is only locally exploitable and had been addressed in release version 4.66.3. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution
